The purpose of the Pirate Log is to inform, educate, and entertain the students of Putnam City Hight School, aswell as provide a public forum for the discussion of current issues. The Editorial Board will consist of all editors,the adviser, and a member at large. Work on the Pirate Log is not exclusively limited to the members of thenewspaper class. However, submissions outside of the class must be approved by the Editorial board.

Unsigned editorials are written by one of the editors and reflect the general opinion of the Editorial Board.Columns, commentaries, and reviews are signed and reflect the views of the individual writer. These views may ormay not reflect the views of the Editorial Board. All sides of an issue will be presented as fairly as possiblewithout making personal attacks.

Any person in the Putnam City community who has an opinion tobe voiced is encouraged to submit letters to the Editor. All lettersmust be signed, but anonymity may be requested. The staffreserves the right to edit or revise any letter due to grammaticalerrors, space limitations, or content.

The Pirate Log reserves the right to refuse any advertising not foundto be within the publication’s standards, particularly in reference togood taste and to products and/or services that are illegal for themajority of its readers.
