Pete's Annual Party!

As the school year begins at Putnam City High School, the annual event known as Party at Pete’s takes place. This event is the first event that invites students to have a great time!

The theme for this year’s Party at Pete’s was the school’s colors which is black, orange, and white. Putnam City’s student council helped create this event to welcome students into the year.

“Party at Pete’s is a back to school bash meant to get the incoming freshmen more comfortable and to kind of know who their classmates are going to be! And not even that, just a fun little party for all the grades to get to know each other,” senior Andrea Juarez said.

Party at Pete’s creates an enjoyable atmosphere for students to have lots of fun! Many students felt as if the event led them to have an amazing experience.

“It was a lot of fun! I had a great time setting it up, working some of the booths, and also just having a great time with my friends reaping the benefits of my labor,” senior Henry Peterson said.

This event has many different features included such as games, fun competitions, music, and food for everyone to enjoy! Some students highly recommend participating in this event.

“Party at Pete’s was good! I liked the donut eating competition. It was really funny to watch people try to eat the donuts off the string and I would recommend going if you like to be social, like to dance, do competitions and like getting along with everyone,” sophomore Alivia Tonianse said.

These different games and competitions were open to students to participate in. This event helped create moments for students to cherish going into the school year.

“What I liked about Party at Pete’s is that it gives the school an opportunity to connect together as a whole and it brings everyone together. I participated in the last event, musical chairs, and I won it for the seniors. It was fun overall and I got to create new memories with my friends,”senior Aaron Sanith said.
