Putnam City High School hosted their annual Pete’s Trunk or Treat for Halloween this year.
This event occurred on October 29th, 2024. This spooky event took place in the Cove and the parking area outside the Cove.
“The Trunk or Treat was great. A bunch of kids came and also a bunch of families. My favorite part would be the haunted house because I got to scare little kids. I also helped softball with their game. I dressed up as a clown,” junior Asia Carolina said.
Pete’s Trunk or Treat was from 6-8 in the evening. There was a bounce house, games, food trucks, haunted houses, and a costume contest.
”The Trunk or Treat was so much fun. I helped with football and sports training. I dressed up as Freddy Krueger” senior Tamiya Oliver said.
Admission was $5 to get in or to bring a non-perishable grocery item for free entry.
”The Trunk or Treat was really fun this year. I liked it because I could take my siblings there and to see a bunch of kids and older kids work together to make it happen. I worked on a game there with A.C.E,” freshman Briana Hood said.
The volunteers that helped out were from different clubs and sports that help make the event special for the children who attended.
“I worked on balloon pop with BPA. My favorite part was definitely helping all of the little kids and they were very excited about the balloons. Some of them wanted to keep one. I did dress up as Shutterfly,” senior Tramy Hoang said.
